Q2 Amphibie kit

The Q2 Amphibie waterhousing kit comes with all the items you’ll need to protect your Leica from H2O situations (Some items not shown).

• Q2 Amphibie Housing shell

• Plexiglass hatch cover with captive screws

• Dedicated hard case

• Seal screw

• Spare Seal Screw (Hiding under the lids foam along with a wingnut for water testing of the housing without the camera)

• Assembly screwdriver featuring soft touch design

• Custom Q2 Amphibie wrist leash

• Fluids

  • 2 ounces Plexiglas cleaner (used to clean the Plexiglas front optic before waxing)

  • 2 ounces Turtle Wax (Turtle Wax brand is a good waxing agent to help keep water drops off of the Plexiglas front optic). Salt water will eventually break down the wax and it loses its effectiveness. The photographer should then use our “rub and dunk” technique to keep the waterdrops at bay.

  • 2 ounces Vinyl Cleaner is used in conjunction with the Essex backing board. The backing board is placed behind the side of the Vinyl that you are cleaning and provides a stable surface for cleaning activities. The backing board can be stored against the exterior side of the vinyl LCD window when the housing is stored in the hard case.

• Wingnut (Found under the lids foam and used in conjunction with the Seal Screw when testing for watertightness without the camera)

• Dedicated Micfro-Fiber Cleaning Cloths

  • 1- 6x6” Cloth for Plexi Cleaner

  • 1- 6x6” Cloth for Turtle Wax

  • 1- 6x6” Cloth for Vinyl Cleaner

  • 1- 6x6” for Camera Optics

  • 1- 12x12” Jumbo cloth for everything else…..
