The Essex Pro Dome port for fisheye lenses utilizes a 8.3” injection molded dome made of Acrylic. The rest of the port is made from a matte black non-reflective material featuring a Fresnel design to eliminate unwanted internal reflections. The curvature of the dome is matched to the curvature of the front optic of the fisheye lens to insure aberration free images.
The Essex Pro Dome is made from a 8” Acrylic dome of the highest quality. We use the sweet spot of this injection molded dome and beware of domes that are thermoformed or vacuum formed as they can have optical aberrations that will affect your image quality.
Matte Black Finish
A dull matte black finish along with internal Fresnel design helps to eliminate unwanted internal reflections on the dome.
